Family Pictures!

With Lizzie turning nine months old, I realized we didn't have a single proper picture of our small family. That prompted me to throw some outfits together, get in the car, and do something about it! Aaron and I had a good time though Lizzie stayed true to form in front of strangers- serious and observant. She only smiled for two of the pictures! Oh how I love that little baby. She still looks adorable in these so I don't mind that smiles were scarce. We now have awesome pictures of our angel hanging up in our home and one happy Momma who feels like she accomplished something huge!

9 Months!

It is hard to image that nine months ago I gave birth to this sweet little angel! Elizabeth has grown and learned so much in this short amount of time... it amazes me. As Aaron was feeding Lizzie this morning, he told her "you have been outside of mommy longer than you were inside of her!" It was an exciting thought but also a little sad. I really enjoyed that time when she was in my tummy! But having Elizabeth in our home has been a joy and has passed so quickly that I knew this day would come eventually. While I am very nostalgic about it all, here are some pictures to show the amazing, happy little woman that she is.

 Here are some shots up close and personal. The top right was this morning as I was telling her she is nine months old... she wasn't very impressed :) She has a serious look about her that cracks me up.

Lizzie has become fond of pulling everything out of buckets, bins, baskets- you name it and she likes to take everything out. Here she is pulling all the shoes, socks, tights, and leg warmers out of her bin. Such a big helper to mom!

More examples- helping mom unload the dishwasher and take all of the clean clothes out of her laundry basket!

Today we went to the park near our home and got to play for a while. Lizzie enjoyed the slides but in most of the pictures she was distracted by other kids playing by her. We had a great time with her and loved every minute!

Lizzie loves her fruits! We will feed her veggies first so that we make sure she eats them :) and then give her the fruits! Well, on this particular day, I dropped some of the food onto her tray and she got very excited about it! She smashed it in her hands and started to play. So I gave her some more food on her tray and she swirled it all over the place! It was in her hair, up her nose, all over her arms and face. She was having the time of her life playing with that yummy berry mix! It was just too cute to not enjoy the mess :)

Eight months!

So with Valentines day and crazy life going on around us, we celebrated eight months of Lizzie in our life yesterday! She is such a happy, sweet, silly girl. Now that she is mobile, it is so entertaining to watch her crawl all over the place and stand up on her own. Though she falls down and smacks her head occasionally, she loves doing it and refuses to stop. She is full of energy and love. We are so blessed to have her in our family. Here are some fun pictures of the last few weeks!

So with the holidays and all the fun things going on, I haven't even touched my blog... Whenever I had down time, I was wrapped up in my darling baby and never took the time to share our activities with the world! Well, here is some current happenings (I know if I try to play catch-up this would never happen!) in the Jaynes family :) I'll try to explain the pictures a bit!

Our little family has had a great start to the new year. Aaron started a new job that we are loving... Can I just say that we are incredibly blessed. Heavenly Father watches over us and cares a great deal about the little things that matter to me. I know He hears and answers prayers. I love Aaron and Lizzie, they are great blessings to me and make me a happier and more loving person. I can't even begin to count all the blessings that I have been given. I am looking forward to a big trip coming up..... Lizzie, my Momma, and me will be traveling to visit Sue and Aaron in Japan in about a month!!! We will be meeting their new baby girl and enjoying time spent with their sweet family. I can't wait!! Well, I hope this is enough to give you all a glimpse into the happy, (not-totally) perfect life that we have :-) Love you all!
